Historic artifacts on display in the Barn!

Centrifuge
Among the artifacts received from Tom Vickers Estate is a Centrifuge. It was made early in 1900 by Heidelberg resident Bartram who sold and serviced milking machine. The centrifuge is wound by hand at 100 revolutions per minute and used by small dairies to test the quality of butterfat in the milk. This artifact will be on display in the Cottage.
Guideline for acceptance of Artifacts and other items:
No significant article shall be accepted by the Society until it has been approved by the Executive.
Our policy is only to accept articles which are at least 50 years old. A description of the article should be given to the Archivist in writing, so that it may be recorded and indexed.
